FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Whistler, BC) – Diamond Head Sports Ltd., of Whistler, BC is proud to join the Callaghan Valley Training Centre’s (CVTC) supplier pool for the 2013/14 season.  As the national distributor for Halti (clothing) and Bliz (eyewear) products, Diamond Head Sports will provide products critical to the success of CVTC.

“Halti provided apparel to the national ski team for years.  It was always the most popular with the athletes because the fit is so good and the products are designed with the movement of cross-country skiers in mind.  We could not be happier with the products we’ll be skiing in this winter,” said CVTC athlete, Paul Dupuis.

“Bliz eyewear is extremely popular with cross country skiers,” notes Diamond Head Sports president, Joze Sparovec, “One of the best products for skiers is the visor: it is great in the humid coastal weather that is often paired with fresh falling snow.  The visor provides full protection for the eyes, while also not fogging up.”

“We are very proud to be wearing Halti and Bliz products this winter,” commented Chris Manhard, CVTC Head Coach.  “The gear is very high quality and Diamond Head Sports is located right in Whistler – only a few kilometers from our homes.  The relationship could not be better, from my perspective.”

The National Development Centre - Callaghan Valley Training Centre (CVTC) is a high-performance training center working within the framework of Cross Country Canada.  CVTC’s mission is to produce successful skiers at the World Cup level, by providing a concentration of world-class training facilities, coaching and sport science resources for cross country ski athletes.  Whistler Sport Legacies provides facility and training support for CVTC, which directly contributes to the team’s ability to perform internationally.  For more information on CVTC, please visit www.cvtc.ca.
