Geoffrey Richards was the top Canadian in the men’s 20k skiathlon event today, finishing 20th after a strong skating leg (14th fastest of the day). Russians claimed 3 of the top 4 places. The other Canadian skiers in the field, Alexis Turgeon and Knute Johnsgaard, finished 31st and 49th respectively. The race had a 10k classic leg and 10k skating leg. Geoffrey is a member of the Callaghan Valley Training Centre team based in Whistler. His home club is the Black Jack Cross Country Ski Club in Rossland.
