Product Review: Cytomax Energy Drops

As elite athletes who train for hours a day, the members of CVTC need a reliable source of energy to use during these training session. That is why we use Cytomax Energy Drops throughout long workouts to give our body that extra boost to push through and deliver the best performance possible.

Update from Martin's Blog

Next stop of our training camp was Rossland, BC. Here we would continue to do many hours but also get into some very hard intensity on the rollerskis. We left beautiful sunny Canmore after having lunch at my parents house, on our way to Rossland.

A Story of Volunteering

CVTC Helping Out in the Community

By: Maria Lundgren, Assistant Coach

Product Review: Westcomb Crest Hoody

Westcomb is an outerwear company based in Vancouver, BC.  The company prides itself on being designed, tested and built in Vancouver.  In my opinion Westcomb produces some of the best jackets you can buy anywhere.  The quality of their products is apparent from the first time you put one of their jackets on.  My team and I just received the Crest Hoody this summer.  It is a very minimalistic, wind resistant soft shell jacket.  Not only is it extremely lightweight it also does an amazing job at cutting the wind.  It can also help keep you dry during periods of light rain.

CVTC Puts Three in Top-10 at Whistler 5 Peaks Race

It was a good day for Whistler runners overall, including a crew from the Callaghan Valley Training Centre (CVTC) that filled up the men’s top 10. The CVTC’s Colin Foley finished fourth, Sam Morris and Geoffrey Richards were sixth and seventh, respectively, and Whistler runner Jake Breuer placed eighth.

Inspiration for Creativity Through Skiing

- By: Liam Patterson

I have been competitively skiing for eight years now and I initially learned how to ski at the age of five.  Competitive skiing has brought me to many interesting places and has allowed me to learn a lot about who I am. For a few years now, I have been documenting my progression as an athlete, person, and travels. I record this not through writing, videos, or photos, but with paint, a canvas and a brush.

Selecting the Winner

- By: Graham Maclean

“What makes ski racing interesting is the fact that it is not always the fittest athlete who wins the gold medal; the winner is the athlete who can make the skis go the fastest.”

Here’s an idea: you’ve already trained 10,000 hours during the last 15 or 20 years, but so has your competition.  What can supplement that training and enable an advantage over your competitors?
